Product Recommendation using the Wet Stretch Test

The wet stretch test is simple, quick, and easy to perform. It is a great way to determine the proper MONAT treatment system for your customer’s hair to achieve and maintain healthier hair.

STEP 1:
Separate about 10 strands of hair and spray with water.
For best results, make sure the hair is well saturated.
STEP 2:
Hold hair firmly between both hands.
STEP 3:
Gently but firmly pull hair away from your head. Ensure you
pull with enough tension to assess if the hair strands stretch.
STEP 4:
Observe how the hair stretches and returns.

Analyzing the results:

· Hair which stretches to 30% of its length and then returns is healthy.
Recommendation:  Balance System for normal to thick hair, Volume System for fine or thin hair to maintain its health, and protect from UV rays and environmental pollutants.

· Hair which stretches but doesn’t return to its previous length is weak in protein.
Recommendation:  Volume System. 
The Volume System contains Hydrolyzed wheat protein which helps to rebuild strength, add fullness, flexibility and reduce the risk of breakage.

· Hair which doesn’t stretch is low in moisture.
Recommendation:  Balance System.
The Balance System helps to equalize moisture and oils, boost hydration to the cuticle and provide healthy equilibrium.

· Hair that stretches and breaks is low in protein and moisture.
Recommendation:  Balance System and Volume System. 
Rotate between the two systems regularly to build both moisture and strength, and  bring hair back to optimal health and vitality.

Do our products grow hair back?
